Turn off the news, log out of Facebook... give your brain a little Coronavirus detox with our fav picks for your eyeballs this iso week!...

Do you usually get much time to watch something on the telly? I don't, for one I don't ever get the remote and secondly when working from home I will most often sit in silence without the telly on... weird? maybe, but I so very rarely sit and watch something that I like to really delve in and enjoy the action. So here's what I've been glued to...

My apologies if you don't have Netflix or Foxtel...

THE FALL. (Netflix) - Drama

Set in northern Ireland, a bloody brilliant suspence and chilling drama. A whole whopping 3 series (4th on its way!) with one for the ladies; Jamie Doran and one for the guys (although she is so alluring my head could have been turned!) Gillian Anderson of X-Files fame. Gripping edge of your seat from start to finish. A slow burner so sit back and enjoy the smulder.

MUST WATCH

GOOD GIRLS. (Netflix) - Drama

This show has it all, the LOLS, the oh-nos, the oh no she didn'ts, the hell yes she dids and the OMG WT F+CK moments.

A cast of three female protagonists immediately got my attention and the chemistry between Christina Hendrickds, Mae Whitman and Retta Sirleaf is both authentic and relatable. Basically Three desperate for cash women think they have a get rich quick scheme...but it all turns to shit and my goodness does it hott the fan!

MUST WATCH

WHEN THEY SEE US. (Netflix) - Drama based on true story

The heartbreaking reallife story of the Central Park 5 accused of raping and killing a runner in NYC. The story is gobsmacking but the production and performace is utterly brilliant. I must warn you, episode 4 I was beside myself, so have the hankies handy.

MUST WATCH

UNBELIEVABLE. (Netflix) - Drama based on true story

Now I pretty much love ANYTHING Toni Collette touches, but I actually didnt realise she starred in this before chosing to watch. This is about rape, and the lack of compassion and belief from male authorities of women reporting rape. This IS based on a true story which makes it even more unbarable to watch, but it is a brilliantly composed series with just enough twist and turn moment to keep you guessing but way too many bang your head against the coffee table moments that make it unbelieveble that this stuff goes on.

MUST WATCH

THE TIGER KING. (Netflix) - Documentary

If yo havent at least heard of The Tiger King by now, have you been living under a rock? or just not staying home like you have meant to?

Not to be mistaken for Disney's The Lion King, although there are many similarites - there are songs, there is dancing, there is death and there is a baddie... so pretty much it IS Disney's The Lion King just based in Florida, with outlandish and extravagently dressed homsexual meth addicts, sex cults and potential husband killers with a bit of added conspiricy, comedy and arsen - I mean what is there not to love?! Watch in awe of Joe Exotic (disoite everything he has actually won my heart, sorry not sorry) and his escalting hatred for F*cking Carole Baskins...If you ever though life at a big cat zoo would be puuuurrfect, stick this badboy on and watch every claw come out. Me? I'm just here for the music and the fashion! Just a word of warning, it is a bit slow to start with, the first to episodes are kind of setting the scene so bear with it... i promise you your persistance will pay off.

MUST WATCH

DON'T FUCK WITH CATS. (Netflix) - Documentary

Before Joe Exotic and The Tiger King we had this feline fiend. A 3 part documentary that will literally have your jaw dropping to the ground and your mind frazzled by what you are watching unfold. I gaurentee you will watch all three in one go... you have to, there is NO looking away! Absolutely brilliant at the same time as being horrifically disturbing.

MUST WATCH

THE SPY. (Netflix) - Drama based on true story If you haven’t watched ‘The Spy’ yet, I recommend you do. (Sasha Baron) Cohen is excellent in the non comedic portrayal of the Mossad ‘super spy’ of the same moniker.

The story would be unthinkable and unbelievable if it weren’t true. This had me gripped and in floods of tears.

MUST WATCH

YOU. (Netflix) - Drama

If like me you ar eof the Gossip Girl generation and xoxo totally fell for Penn Bagdly's charater Dan... well, here's a new one for you and yep he still using those butter wouldn't melt good looks to do the dirty. Very of the time, YOU encapsulates what cyber-stalking is all about, and some! Another gripping psyco-thriller that will have you thinking both inside and outside the box. If you have ever wonder what it must be like to live as a psyco serial killer and have everyone believe you are as sweet as pie... Joe is your man (oh another crazy Joe!) Series 1 is fantastic and I didn't think it could ever be topped, sequals are usually disappointing... OH HOW I WAS WRONG! A thrid series is on it's way and I cannot wait.

MUST WATCH

THE SINNER. (Netflix) - Drama

Jessica Biel. Enough said! But honestly anyone that can look this hot in an orange boiler suit is worth a watch. Jessica also produces both Emmy nominated series currently available. You don't have to watch series one to enjoy and understand series 2, but I would highly recommend you do start from the beginning to gain context of series two lead character Detective Harry Ambrose. An awkward fella, Ambrose investigates atrocious murder cases with his heart instea dof his head to analyse the reasons behind ordinary people committing heinous crimes. Dark, mysterious and defiantely worth a watch. Both series have interweaving storylines to keep you guessing and wondering how and what the F is going on. Don't worry, it all comes together at the end.

MUST WATCH

CURRENTLY WATCHING

GYPSY. (Netflix) - Drama

Currently watching this one. I love Naomi Watts and the dark and twisted plotline or rather the well put together railer on netflix is what caught my attention. In all honesty, I am not sure Naomi was the right girl for the part, in some places she seems perfect, others a bit awkward, but I am trying to work out if that is the point. A bit different a choice for me as there is no murder (not yet anyway!) This one is more about second lives, temptation and lust. I am on episode 6 of 10 so maybe I will need to come back and edit this synopsis once I've finished, but I am enjoying it thus far, not sure it will be a MUST WATCH, but its got enough suspence to keep me watching - for now.
