I was feeling pretty shitty today. I don’t know why, I love staying home, but I had a bee in my bonnet about summin' and my anxiety flared up massively.

I sat and worked on my laptop all day but this is not unusual, but it’s not too healthy either. I wound myself up. I was gonna either explode or take myself to bed, it was only 4.30pm. I know a lot of you are in full lockdown so in a far worse position than me who is just staying home out of choice, and so many of you will be feeling what was wave of cabin fever now begin to drown you...


So what can you do? what did I do?


I know the only way I can snap out of a bout of anxiety and feeling on edge is to exercise.

So I pulled on my stretchy pants, shouved my hair up in a scrunchie and headed to the gym to whip my arse through a very gruilling crossfit session. In just twentythree minutes and five seconds my day changed, my mood shifted and I found an abundance of energy; the bad feeling was GONE, so had my breath, the feeling in my arms, legs and butt but I didn’t feel anxious anymore and could go home to enjoy a nice night IN to relax and sleep well.

The importance of exercise is undeniable. And now now more than ever looking after physical and mental health is the priority.
