A poem about the rain. By Jenna Offerdahl
H O P E.
Here’s to the rain may it keep falling down.
Here’s to the rain turning green what is brown.
Here’s to the rain it’s sound and it’s smell
Here’s to the rivers may they fill and swell.
Heres to the rain in all it’s glory.
Here’s to the rain to break this drought story.
Here’s to the rain a gift from the sky
Here’s to the rain Mother Nature’s cry.
She heard your pleas, she felt your pain.
Enough was enough so she brought you the rain.
Here’s to the rain may it last and be some relief.
Here’s to the rain to end the grief.
Let’s hope the crops grow and the soils become tender.
Lets hope the smoke filled skies clear and the fires surrender.
Here’s to the rain that brings so much hope to a country in despair.
Here is to hope that we can repair.
